As Clerk & Recorder, Faye computerized the department's office and coordinated successful general and primary elections. In 2006, she ran for the position of Treasurer and was elected. In 2008 she ran and won a seat on the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners. In 2012, Faye was the recipient of the Celebrate Women of Jefferson County award. In 2014 Faye successfully ran for the position of County Clerk & Recorder, returning to what she considers her home; where her heart is, serving the citizens in the Jefferson County Clerk & Recorder Office.
